In the afternoon of November 15, we were honored to invite Ms. Leng Hei  Leung as a guest speaker for our sophomore students in Color Composition class. Ms. Leung is a Macau-base professional make-up artist. She had worked for several famous international brands, such as M.A.C and Sofina.

Ms. Leung gave us a talk named “The color palette on our faces.” Starting from introducing four kinds of basic skin types first, she explained how color theory and knowledge perfectly worked with make-up products on our faces as well as how make-up created better images and improve our complexion. 

The most exciting moment of the whole lecture was her demonstration part. One of our female students volunteered for modeling.  Everyone from the class closely watched Ms. Leung play magical palette on her face, which turned a rounded reddish face into a natural skin tone with a very clear-cut facial feature.  

Through the cooperation of team teaching, students not only realize how color plays a significant role in design and fashion industry but also understand how to use color theory in our daily life.
