On 1 November, the City Lecture Hall Conference, organized by the Faculty of Urban Management and studies, was held at the Hexian Conference Center of the City University of Macau. Lectures are Professor Margareth Pereira and Associate Professor Fabiana Izaga from the University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. Vice President Kong Fanqing presented souvenirs on behalf of the organizers. 

 

Prof. Margareth Pereira and Prof. Fabiana Izaga from the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of the University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, both of whom have made great contributions to the fields of architectural design history, urbanization and urban planning and design. During the lecture, Professor Margareth Pereira introduced the development of Brazilian universities and related cooperation and exchanges in the field of urban planning and research in Portuguese-speaking countries. He also hoped to have more opportunities for cooperation with Macao teachers and students. Prof. Fabiana Izaga introduced the development of the Brazilian urban planning, the typology and the representation of the urban planning projects, and compared the Brazilian cities with the Asian cities such as Macau, in view of the city's geographical features and the history of urban development. 

 

The City Lecture Series is closely related to the development of the University and the regional needs of Macao. It is warmly welcomed by our teachers and students.
