In addition to enhance the teaching quality of our team, Faculty of Innovation and Design from City University of Macau has been working on both optimizing our research facility and innovating related systems. There are currently three centers under the Faculty of Innovation and Design: The Research Centre for Arts Education, Macau Big Data Research Centre for Urban Governance, and Craft Laboratory.

Basing on the above research platforms, Faculty of Innovation and Design brings together a large number of renowned scholars from domestic and abroad, collaborating on a series of research projects, which not only provides an opportunity of realizing social service but also encourages professional competitions and generates certain Macau-based influential research results, attracting extensive attention from related fields.

Recently, Faculty of Innovation and Design is honor to be entitled several significant projects, including from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Education, the Macao Special Administrative Region Government and the Macao Foundation. The main contents of the study include the renewal and protection of the world cultural heritage in Macao, the digital technology research of the heritage protection, and the protection of architectural heritage in the south of the Yangtze River. We have made over a hundred of papers and monographs published in all kinds of academic journals, as well as held various academic conferences and exhibitions.
