In the afternoon of March 29, 2026, the inauguration ceremony of the Human Factors Engineering and Intelligent Interaction Research Center (Hengqin) of the Faculty of Innovation and Design at the City University of Macau, along with the industry-academia-research collaboration signing ceremony, was grandly held at the Jin Hui International Plaza in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. As one of the events in the series celebrating the 45th anniversary of the City University of Macau, this activity brought together numerous experts, scholars, corporate representatives, and representatives of teachers and students from the mainland and Macao to collectively witness this important moment.
The ceremony officially commenced at 14:30. Wang Po Hsun, Executive Associate Dean of the Faculty of Innovation and Design at the City University of Macau, stated in his speech that the establishment of the Human Factors Engineering and Intelligent Interaction Research Center (Hengqin) is a significant initiative by the faculty to actively respond to national development strategies and proactively integrate into the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. He emphasized that the center will use Hengqin as a fulcrum to promote interdisciplinary integration and the collaborative development of industry, academia, and research, helping the City University of Macau reach new heights in the cross-disciplinary fields of design and technology.

Subsequently, Distinguished Professor Song Wu provided a detailed introduction to the research center's research directions, platform construction, and future development plans. The center will focus on cutting-edge fields such as human factors engineering, intelligent interaction, and user experience, aiming to create a high-level platform that integrates scientific research, teaching, and the transformation of outcomes.

Amidst warm applause, the Human Factors Engineering and Intelligent Interaction Research Center (Hengqin) was officially unveiled, marking the center's formal commencement of operations in Hengqin. During the signing segment, the Faculty of Innovation and Design signed technical cooperation framework agreements with Yangpu Light and Color Research Institute (Xiamen) Co., Ltd., Dualshine Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Bowen Cultural Technology Co., Ltd.. Furthermore, equipment support cooperation framework agreements were signed with Advictor (Beijing) Information Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Hengzhi Technology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Niantong Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., and Beijing Langxin Renyin Technology Co., Ltd.. All parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in areas such as collaborative scientific research, talent cultivation, and platform co-construction to jointly build an integrated innovation ecosystem of "industry, academia, research, and application".

The successful hosting of this event not only adds luster to the 45th-anniversary celebration of the City University of Macau but also marks a solid step forward for the university in promoting university-local cooperation and deepening the integration of industry and education.
