On March 26, 2025 (Wednesday), from 15:30 to 17:30, the Bachelor of Design and Arts Program of our institute held the "2022 Design Internship and Graduation Project Briefing Session" to facilitate smooth progress in academic work and enhance interaction and communication between faculty and students. This event was attended by nearly 200 third-year students from the Bachelor of Design and Arts Program, along with dozens of faculty members.
In the first half of the session, Assistant Professor Xing Yalong, the Program Director, provided a detailed introduction to the design internship and graduation project process, including the timeline and course requirements.
During the mid-session, students were divided into designated classrooms based on their respective majors, where faculty members responsible for graduation project standards provided further explanation. The speakers for each major were as follows:
Environmental Design – Senior Lecturer Li Mengshun
Industrial Design – Assistant Professor Yan Xiaoyi
Urban and Landscape Design – Assistant Professor Yang Huajie
Other supervising faculty members were also present to introduce their areas of guidance.
At the end of the session, a Q&A session was conducted to help students address any concerns and provide solutions to their questions. The graduation project is the final and most significant comprehensive design practice in a student's academic journey, serving as the ultimate assessment of their learning outcomes. This process plays a crucial role in enhancing graduates' overall competence, fostering innovation and practical skills, and facilitating a smooth transition into employment.
Through this briefing session, students gained a clearer understanding of the tasks and expectations for their graduation preparation, ensuring the smooth progression of subsequent academic and administrative work within our institute.
