Congratulations! Students achieved outstanding results at the 4th International Conference on Heritage of Chinese (2024)



Hosted by Suzhou Institute for the Conservation of National Historic Cities,School of Architecture and Urban Planning of SUST,Design School of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University and Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University Research Centre for Culture, Communication and Society (CCCS), the Fourth International Conference on the Heritage of China(2024 )announced the winners of the outstanding paper awards. YaFeng Lai, a doctoral student at the Faculty of Innovation and Design in City University of Macau, won the third prize for her paper titled "A Study on the Distribution Characteristics and Sustainable Design of Recreational Spaces in Macau through Visual Analysis" under the guidance of her supervisor, Associate Professor Pohsun Wang. She also presented her research findings in a sub-forum, adding glory to the school.

 

The paper titled "A Study on the Distribution Characteristics and Sustainable Design of Recreational Spaces in Macau through Visual Analysis" explores the distribution characteristics of recreational spaces in Macau and the factors influencing recreational satisfaction. Through research methods such as grounded theory, questionnaire surveys, and structural equation modeling, it analyzes the current state and potential issues of recreational spaces in Macau. It proposes targeted design strategies and recommendations based on sustainable development principles, aiming to enhance the overall quality of recreational spaces in Macau and promote the resilience and development of this World Heritage city.

 

the Fourth International Conference on Heritage of Chinese (2024) brought together experts and scholars from both domestic and international fields of cultural heritage protection to discuss new concepts, methods, and technologies in cultural heritage conservation. The academic conference covered various topics, including the resilient protection of cultural heritage, sustainable development, and digital responses, injecting strong momentum into the advancement of cultural heritage protection initiatives.
