Yang Su:
We are honored to have won the third annual “INTO THE RABBIT HOLE” competition. This is an extraordinary platform to challenge the boundaries of traditional architecture and inspire creativity. We are grateful to Archiol Competitions for giving us the opportunity to go beyond the norm and explore the integration of architecture and spiritual healing.
In an era where mental health is increasingly emphasized, it is our responsibility as architects and designers to use our creativity and expertise to create spaces that heal the soul. This award is a recognition of our team's efforts and a new exploration of the future of urban planning and design in Macau.
Once again, I would like to thank our mentor, Ms. Ching Sze Yee, for giving our team the opportunity to compete and for her guidance, so that we can work together to create a better future. Thank you all!
Jiamin Xie:
We are very happy to be awarded in the 3rd “INTO THE RABBIT HOLE” competition. It provides us with a platform to show the world our understanding of healing spaces, and this award is a recognition of our work and an encouragement to us in our design exploration.
We are concerned about the underprivileged and have made profound observations and analysis of life and human nature. In the process of preparing our entries, we faced many challenges, including how to transform abstract concepts into concrete artistic expressions, and how to accomplish high-quality creations within a limited time frame. These challenges have pushed us to learn and explore new ways of creating art.
Last but not least, I would like to thank our instructor, Ms. Ching for her support and guidance. We will continue to work hard to create more excellent works and explore the infinite possibilities of design together.
Keyi Rao:
I am honored to receive the 3rd “INTO THE RABBIT HOLE” award. It is a call to action for people to address the pressing needs of our time and to make a difference through innovative design. This award is a recognition of our learning in the course and our individual abilities.
During the design process, we conducted a series of out-of-the-box thinking in conjunction with the future planning of Macau, while keeping a close eye on social news and its vulnerable groups and endangered animals, and finally came up with our award-winning design. This will also help us to continue to pay attention to the duality of society and create more humanistic designs in the design process.
Thanks to Ms. Ching for her guidance on this project, we will continue to uphold the concepts of innovation and humanistic care in our future coursework and graduation design, and strive to create more meaningful design works.
