At 17 o'clock on the afternoon of October 23, the “China Youth Leasers Program - Youth China Action” Achievements Sharing Seminar of the 7th Summer University Social Research Practices was held at the HG01, Ho Yin Conference Center, Taipa Campus, City University of Macau. Mr. Peter Bai, Executive Secretary of the China Youth Leasers Program, Ms. Yin Ting Leung, Representative of the China Youth Leasers Program, Mr. Leon Wang, Representative of the China Youth Leasers Program, and Professor Wu Yao, Dean of FIAD Faculty, Mr. Gao Wuzhou, and other teachers and students attended the final phase report. The Eco+ practice team of the City University of Macau consists of 2018 graduate students in Master of Urban Planning and Design, Chen Yile, Liang Ran, Liu Jiayu and Wu Zhengtao. Since the official launch of the event in March 2019, it has supported the society with a strong research foundation. As an entry point, the environmental hotspot problem, combined with the SDGs planning of the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau Bay Area, was selected by the 1267 teams of 149 universities in the “Research on Sustainable Development of Recycling and Reuse of Urban Waste in Macau” to be selected as one of the top 30 outstanding teams in the country. Four students started field research in late August this year, and visited the Macau Garbage Incineration Center, Macau Special and Hazardous Waste Treatment Station, Airport Road Construction Waste Landfill, Macau Haksaa New Reclamation Area, Garbage Collection and Solid Waste Automatic The collection system, the market compressed trash can, the computer and the old battery recycling and other environmental facilities for garbage disposal, eventually forming a research report of more than 30,000 words, is also the essence of this final report. First of all, the director gave a speech by the supervisor Gao Wuzhou, and expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the “China Youth Leasers Program - Youth China Action”. As a representative of the China Youth Leasers Program, Ms. Yin Ting Leung introduced the basic outline of the China Youth Leasers Program. In recent years, China Youth Leasers Program has planned activities, registration, project selection, selection, practice, and completion of the project. Later, Chen Yile, as the general manager of the project and the team leader of the practice team Eco+, talked about the operation methods, development status, sustainable development measures, experience, and social system based on the urban waste treatment and recycling in Macau. Under the legal system, the causes of the status quo, the lack of follow-up development, etc., for the sustainable development planning of other cities in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau Bay Area, the experience of the municipal waste treatment in Macau SAR and the follow-up suggestions. FIAD Faculty teacher Mr. Po-Hsun Wang commented on the research results from a professional perspective. At the same time, he hoped that the graduate students of the FIAD Faculty could actively use the winter vacation and summer vacation time to participate in off-campus practice activities and enrich their experiences.
