PhD Student’s Final Outcomes Presentation - Theory and Method of Architectural Heritage Preservation



In this semester, Distinguished Prof. Rong Zhu taught the module - "Theory and Method of Architectural Heritage Preservation", and who hold Ph.D. student’s final outcomes presentation. Participants are President Shuguang Zhang, Executive Vice Dean Yao Wu and the lecturers in Urban Management and Studies, including Poshun Wang, Xiaoyi Yan, Long Zhou, Yujie Ren and Yalong Xing. In addition, we invited Prof. Bob Brown (Plymouth University) and Prof. Werner Breitung (Hong Kong Baptist University) to give feedback for these PhD students.

 

When the module, Theory and Method of Architectural Heritage Preservation was undertaking, Prof. Yao Wu and Prof. Rong Zhu led PhD students to do fieldworks in St. Lazarus Parish and Coloane. These students found that the historical urban areas of Macao are developing, where base on the government's current development plans. Also, students proposed plans and design are consistent with the development of city in Macau. In the future outcomes, our studies will be continuously updated. Furthermore, we will make efforts on combining studies with the actual needs for social development in order to put forward prospects for urban planning and design and benefit the society of Macao.
