From June 5 to 7, 2026, the 2026 Guangdong Landscape Architecture Education Conference was successfully held at Huizhou University. Centered on the theme "People's Parks, Beautiful Life in Guangdong — Innovative Development of Landscape Architecture Education for Better Living", the conference brought together over a hundred experts and scholars from across China to discuss the future development of the discipline. Assistant Professor Ni Kang from the Faculty of Innovation and Design (FIAD) was invited to attend this significant event.

During the conference, Ni Kang participated in multiple key sessions, including the opening ceremony, keynote presentations, and parallel forums. She also took part in the expert roundtable discussion titled "From People's Parks to a Better Life: The Innovative Mission and Practical Pathways of Landscape Architecture Education". Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on the future trajectory of landscape architecture in the era of digital intelligence, as well as the integration of public health research into everyday teaching and curriculum development.

Faculty members and students actively shared teaching experiences and research outcomes, and drew insights from exemplary practices in landscape architecture education reform, industry–education integration, and the preservation of Lingnan landscape culture from universities across and beyond the province. Through this conference, FIAD further strengthened academic exchanges with peer institutions and clarified new directions for integrating digital technologies, public health, and landscape architecture education.

Moving forward, FIAD will continue to build on the outcomes of this conference, advance educational innovation, and integrate cutting-edge concepts into curriculum development and talent cultivation, thereby contributing to the high-quality development of landscape architecture as a discipline.
