Doctoral student in Art Studies (The Study of Chinese Music History) , participated in the Dao De Jing Song Composition Competition organized by the Macao Taoist Youth Association. With professional training and comprehensive abilities, the students achieved excellent results, highlighting the program's teaching effectiveness and academic strength in innovating traditional music culture.
The competition encourages young people to explore and express the philosophical ideas of the Dao De Jing through musical composition. In this competition, our doctoral student in Art Studies (The Study of Chinese Music History) received multiple awards: Wang Haitao (admitted in 2024) took First Prize with Shang Shan Ruo Shui; Zhang Yaqin (admitted in 2025) won Second Prize for Chapter 78 of the Dao De Jing; Li Yiping (admitted in 2025) was received Third Prize for Shang Shan Ruo Shui and Xue Yanfang (admitted in 2024) was awarded Fourth Prize for Qing Jing Qi Dao Wen.
All four award-winning students are supervised by Professor Dai Dingcheng, doctoral advisor in Musicology. This achievement highlights the program's focus on talent development and artistic innovation, while also demonstrating the institution's growing influence in the inheritance and transmission of Chinese traditional culture.
