The results of the final review for the 14th National Art Exhibition were announced, and the comic strip series "Wooden House·Dog" by Qie Boying, a doctoral student at the Faculty of Innovation and Design of the City University of Macau, was successfully selected. The National Art Exhibition is the largest, most comprehensive, and most influential authoritative national-level art exhibition in China, featuring the widest range of participation and categories. Held every five years, it represents the highest standard of Chinese artistic creation and serves as an authoritative platform for testing the creative strength and depth of thought of artists.
Student Qie Boying's selected work "Wooden House·Dog", employs a unique perspective and delicate artistic language to focus on the daily lives of herdsmen in Hemu Township, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang. Through ten carefully constructed images, the work vividly narrates a story of the harmonious coexistence between humans, animals, and the environment on that land, artistically presenting a scene of the simple, pure, and vibrant happy lives of the local herdsmen. This series of works is not only a true record of the cultural landscape of the border regions but also embodies profound reflections on the state of life, cultural heritage, and modern living, demonstrating the creator's deep humanistic care and lofty artistic pursuit.
