The results of the 16th Lanqiao Cup Visual Art Design Competition in 2025 have recently been announced. Xinyuan Ma and Junting Ruan, students from the Faculty of Innovation and Design at the City University of Macau (CityU Macau), under the guidance of Assistant Professor An Shun, won the Second Prize in the National Finals and the First Prize in the Regional Contest. Another student Minyi Li, under the guidance of Assistant Professor Yalong Xing, has been awarded the Third Prize in the National Finals and the First Prize in the Regional Contest. 

The Lanqiao Cup Competition has been listed for five consecutive years in the "National Ranking List of Discipline Competitions for Regular Higher Education Institutions" by the China Association of Higher Education. Organized by the Talent Exchange Center of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and undertaken by Lanqiao Cup Education Technology Co., Ltd., the competition has attracted over 1,800 universities, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the University of Science and Technology of China, with over one million participants.

Xinyuan Ma and Junting Ruan's work EASY SHOOT BAG reconstructs the photography experience with modularity, all-weather protection, and intelligent interconnection as the core, solving the pain points of professional photography users. It uses a three-stage modular structure to flexibly adapt to the needs of multiple scenarios. The bag adopts a three-stage detachable design, and users can freely combine capacity modules according to shooting needs.

Minyi Li's award-winning work, Nanyue Fantasy, drew inspiration from the Museum of the Nanyue King. Through on-site research, she designed fonts and logos based on inscribed wooden slips from the museum’s collection. She also created anthropomorphic characters inspired by artifacts depicting animals and mythical beasts. The final work integrated these elements into posters and cultural / creative products, bridging historical culture with modern aesthetics.

Our work, "EASY SHOOT BAG" (Modular Protection Design), embodies deep insight and exploration into user needs. Thanks to Professor An Shun's guidance and the support of the academy, we were able to boldly experiment and break through the traditional boundaries of industrial design. Thanks to the dedicated cooperation of my teammates, the collision of engineering thinking and interactive perspectives also confirms the power of interdisciplinary collaboration.

I extend my sincere gratitude to the competition judges for recognizing my work. I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to CityU Macau for providing an excellent learning environment and platform during my studies, which has continuously enhanced the professional competencies of myself and my fellow students.
