The exhibition “Y Show” is hold by Chiu Yeng Culture and Chiii design. This is the first Macau art graduates joint exhibition, which is a collection of art works from local and overseas art graduates. I think that the “Y Show” provides a good platform for graduates to display their talents. In addition, exhibiting works from oversee students provides diverse viewpoints. This would be a platform for young artists to interact with each other and at same time to promote the design industry development in Macau.
This work is about a confortable bed for the use of people reading in private space. I have seen this work before in the graduate exhibition in Macau University of science and Technology. I felt the creator was quite brilliant to exercise his ideas into product. The idea about private space is pretty good and the introduction book was made well. As far as reading concerned, I believe that the gesture while people reading should be taken into consideration.
My own graduate work will be the package design of the bakery in Macau; therefore, I especially noticed the tea package with Macau elements. This package basically is made of iron box with the design of pattern related to Macau elements. The structure is usually belonging to ordinary style. The layout of the exhibition board and the showcase of the product are quite good.
The pattern design of this tea package is good. This is a good example for my own graduate work. For example, the way its taking product shot and brochure of the tea brands are both good reference for my future design.
The topic of this work is about the second child. The graphic design and its related products such as badge and sticker show an excellent quality.
The topic of this work is related to Shan Hai Jing. The graphic design in cloth looks good. The exhibit place is also decorated by its theme.
Overall, I felt that the works related to product design is rare. On the contrary, the scale of the model about environment design is large. And there is a screening room in digital media section. The wooden box in visual communication section is quite interesting. For me, I learn a lot from the perspective of graphic design. In addition, the final products of others’ graduate work and the layout of the exhibit both inspire me to my own future graduate work.
