On 10 September, the Art Studies (Fine Arts) programme of City University of Macau held an exchange meeting with the Macau Artists Association. Professor Dai Dingcheng, Mr. Luk Hei, President of Macau Artists Association, Assistant Professor Wang Ziwei, Assistant Professor Xiong Yuan, and Programme Supervisor Ieong Weng Sam attended. Both sides exchanged views on topics including the cultivation of local artistic talents in Macau, art exhibitions, regional cultural exchanges, and collaboration between higher education institutions and local art associations.

During the meeting, Professor Dai Dingcheng, Programme Director of the postgraduate Art Studies programme, together with faculty members of the Art Studies (Fine Arts) programme, presented updates on talent development, faculty development, art exhibitions and student recruitment and development. Mr. Luk Hei outlined the history of the Macau Artists Association and its work in nurturing young artistic talents, developing exhibition platforms and conducting external cultural exchanges. Both parties agreed that the teaching and academic resources of the Art Studies (Fine Arts Stream) programme complement the Macau Artists Association's pool of artists, social networks and exhibition platforms, laying a solid foundation for cooperation.

Following discussions, the two sides put forward preliminary cooperation proposals, including signing a cooperation agreement, co-organising art exhibitions and regional exchange activities, exploring the establishment of an "Art Cooperation Base", and building a mechanism for the training, recommendation and communication of local Macau artistic talents. Moving forward, relevant faculty members will further formulate the cooperation plan. Specific details will be refined after thorough consultation with the Macau Artists Association to foster sustained collaboration in talent development, art exchange and urban cultural development.
