On April 10th, Ren Yujie, Programme Coordinator of the Art Studies Program, and teacher Xie Shengming visited the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts to conduct an academic lecture and recruitment presentation. Attendees included Wu Huiping, Dean of the School of Art Education at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, He Hongjiao, Party Secretary, and faculty representatives Zhang Fanwen and Shu Ming. Many students from various colleges attended, creating a lively atmosphere. Xie Shengming first delivered a lecture entitled "The Misinterpreted 'Peacock and Bamboo Rock' Painting—A Discussion of the 'Traps' in the Sociology of Art". Following this, Ren Yujie introduced the teaching characteristics and professional settings of the Faculty of Innovation and Design, focusing on the structure, features, and teaching philosophy of the Art Studies program, as well as the admission policies and application guidelines for the Master's and Doctoral programs in Art Studies.

The presentation also included an interactive session, with many students actively asking questions and responding enthusiastically. Coordinator Ren thanked the teachers and students for their support and interest in the City University of Macau's Master's and Doctoral programs in Art Studies. After the meeting, she also exchanged views with the Dean and faculty of the School of Art Education to discuss potential future collaborations. This meeting will help enhance the influence of our art programs in the Pearl River Delta Zone, and will also help students and parents better understand our university, attracting more outstanding students to apply to City University of Macau.
