Doctor of Urban Planning and Design's Teachers and Students conduct research in Bairro Iao Hon. While the field survey was being conducted, Professor Robert Brown and PhD students were interviewed by TDM NEWS.

Students who are studying on the Urban Sustainable Development Design Theory course and on the Urban Renewal Theory Frontier course conducted research on the reconstruction of Youhan. The Urban Planning and Design Doctoral Research team of the School of Urban Management conducted the current status survey in Youhan and visited  it's  residents.

Urban renewal theory was used to ascertain problems which exist in Youhan. A theoretical strategy and design method for improving the quality of life of its residents were proposed.
